AI use and rights

Named people remain responsible for the claims, the sources and the conclusion.

Material use of a machine in drafting, research, analysis, translation, images or narration should be disclosed where it changes what the reader is entitled to believe about how the work was made.

Confidential manuscripts, reviewer reports, privileged material and protected data are not to be put into an external AI service that the house has not approved.

Rights to train a model on the work, to generate a synthetic narration, to translate it by machine, or to transform it substantially must be granted expressly. They are not assumed.

This is a working standard. The contractual wording still needs UK legal review.
