About

An independent house for non-fiction.

We publish books that cut through. Not to make the world seem simpler than it is, but to make it more visible.

CANDOUR exists because too much of modern life is built on managed impressions: marketing disguised as insight, certainty disguised as expertise, and outrage disguised as principle.

Candour House Press publishes books that help readers face reality more intelligently. We favour difficult problems without sensationalism, evidence distinguished from aspiration, serious questions over fashionable certainty, and work that remains useful after the algorithm moves on.

Candour means openness, honesty and directness, particularly when the truth is uncomfortable. It is not cruelty, bluntness for its own sake or performative truth-telling. At its best it combines truthfulness with good faith: saying what is real, clearly and respectfully.

Two names, one house.

CANDOUR WORKS

The umbrella and digital home. Broad enough to hold books, essays, research and adjacent editorial projects as the house grows.

Candour House Press

The publishing imprint. Public-facing publishing work carries the full house name — never shortened to “Candour Press”.
